
Chinese Mai Jianmin/Mo Bin finish eighth in men's C-2 semifinals.
The men's C-2 semifinals of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Canoe/Kayak Slalom Open concluded this afternoon at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park, as Slovak twins and Olympic champions peter Hochschorner/Pavol Hochschorner led the group while Czech hopeful duo Marek Jiras/Tomas Mader failed to enter the final phase. Also eliminated in the semifinals were the two Chinese pairs.
Peter Hochschorner/Pavol Hochschorner performed a textbook show in today's semifinals, clocking 103.01 seconds to be the first finisher.
On the contrary, 31-year-old Marek and 33-year-old Tomas were punished four seconds and only stood at the ninth of the ten boats.
Chinese twins Duan Junjie/Duan Junqing and their compatriots and National Games champions Mai Jianmin/Mo Bin finished seventh and eighth respectively, none of them entering the last six. |
