After the signing in, the volunteers will be trained according to the posts they have.
Volunteers for spectators' service
Among the 873 volunteers for the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park, 200-odd will be engaged in spectators' service. Together with the local security guards they will guide the spectators, answer their questions and help them wherever necessary.
Volunteers for anti-doping tests
During the 2007 Canoe/Kayak Flatwater Open, as anti-doping tests are random for all athletes but compulsory for medal winners, the volunteers will follow the boats on shore, one for each boat, along the flatwater course. If a paddler should do well enough to take a medal, the volunteer after him will guide him to the awarding ceremony in central flatwater zone, and after the ceremony take him all the way to the doping control station back at the starting point. |
