Tim Wieskotter of Great Britain gained his second gold at the 2007 Canoe/Kayak Flatwater Open today by winning the title of men's K-1 500m.
Wieskotter, who had won the K-1 1000m event yesterday, said: "It's a good memory and winning gold in two events makes me confident for next year's Olympic Games."
Commenting on the rain and the cool weather today in Beijing, Wieskotter noted: "Today's temperature is just like the UK's which is pleasantly cool. Actually we have trained at different places and the varied temperatures won't bother the racing."
"I'll also compete in the 500m and 1000m events at the Beijing Olympic Games and hope I can show my best." |
