Tim Bradbants clinches men's K-1 500m title

Tim Brabants of the UK clocked 1:37.786 to win the title of the men's K-1 500m of the 2007 Canoe/Kayak Flatwater Open today in Beijing.

In today's race, hot favorites Kenneth Wallace of Australia, Tim Brabants and Anders Gustafsson of Sweden started in Lane 4, Lane 5 and Lane 6 respectively.

Bradbants won the gold, while Kenneth Wallace settled for the silver in 1:38.041 and French Sebastien Jouve third in 1:38.408.

Chinese kayakists didn't qualify for the finals of the event.
 
Today will also see the finals of the men's C-1 500m, K-2 500m, C-2 500m, and the women's K-1 500m and K-2 500m.
