"Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Canoe/Kayak Flatwater Open started at 9:30 a.m.  Aug.23. In the first heats of men's K-1 1000m English kayakist Tim Brabants ranked first with 3 minutes 38 seconds 770, and Australian kayakist Kenneth Wallance and Belgium kayakist Bob Maesen ranked second and third respectively.

The weather is cool with a gentle breeze today and it is a good day for aquatic competition. Despite the first heats in the morning, many spectators have come to the venue to cheer up for the participants. From today on, the 2007 Canoe/Kayak Flatwater Open will be in its full swing.
